MINI ปรับโฉม MINI Countryman ใหม่รอบคัน หลังจากเปิดตัว Countryman ครั้งแรกมานานถึง 5 ปี มียอดขายทั่วโลกกว่า 350,000 คัน ซึ่งการปรับโฉมครั้งนี้ มีทั้งรูปลักษณ์ใหม่ทั้งภายนอกและภายใน, ออปชั่นเสริมใหม่, สีใหม่ รวมถึงพละกำลังของ MINI Cooper S ที่สูงขึ้นกว่าเดิม เตรียมวางตลาดกรกฎาคมนี้
หลังจากประสบความสำเร็จกับโมเดล MINI Countryman ที่ถือว่าเป็น MINI รุ่นที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในครอบครัว MINI และเป็น MINI เพียงรุ่นเดียวตอนนี้ที่มี 4 ประตู เปิดตัวครั้งแรกในช่วงต้นปี 2010 ก็ถึงเวลาที่ทาง MINI จะได้ทำการปรับโฉมรูปลักษณ์ของ MINI Countryman เสียที ซึ่งการเปลี่ยนแปลงครั้งนี้ ยังคงเอกลักษณ์เดิมของ MINI Countryman เอาไว้อย่างครบถ้วน
รูปลักษณ์ภายนอก มีการปรับดีไซน์ของกระจังหน้าใหม่ ด้วยดีไซน์ของรูปทรงหกเหลี่ยม ที่มีการเพิ่มเส้นสายเข้าไปให้ดูมีรายละเอียดคมชัดมากขึ้น สำหรับโมเดล Cooper S และ Cooper SD มีการเพิ่มสัญลักษณ์ตัว “S” ที่กระจังหน้า รูปแบบเดียวกับที่เห็นใน MINI Hatch F56 มีการเพิ่มคานจำลองใต้กันชนหน้า-หลัง รวมถึงใต้กรอบประตูข้าง (underride guard) เพิ่มความปลอดภัยให้กับเพื่อนร่วมทางเมื่อเกิดอุบัติเหตุ โดยคาน underride guard นี้จะเป็นออปชั่นมาตรฐานสำหรับ MINI Countryman รุ่น ALL4 ทุกรุ่น และเป็นออปชั่นเสริมสำหรับ Countryman รุ่นที่ไม่ใช่ ALL4 ให้เลือกติดตั้งเพิ่มเติมได้
ล้ออัลลอยด์น้ำหนักเบา ลายใหม่ ขนาด 17″ ชื่อลาย 5-Star Triangle Spoke พร้อมยางสเปคใหม่ ที่มีฟีเจอร์ reduced rolling resistance เป็นออปชั่นเสริมให้เลือกติดตั้งได้ นอกจากนี้ MINI Countryman ใหม่ ยังมีสีใหม่มาให้เลือกอีก 3 สี คือสี Jungle Green Metallic (แบบในภาพ), สี Midnight Grey Metallic (สีใหม่) และสี Starlight Blue Metallic (สีเดิมจาก MINI Paceman) รวมถึงสีของหลังคา, สีฝาครอบกระจกมองข้าง, สติ๊กเกอร์สปอร์ตคาดฝากระโปรงแบบใหม่ ก็มีมาให้เลือกเพิ่มเติมเช่นกัน
ภายในของตัวรถ มีการเพิ่มออปชั่นของเบาะหลัง ที่สามารถปรับเลื่อนได้ตามแนวยาว 13 เซนติเมตร, เบาะหลังสามารถปรับเอนได้ และ พับได้ในสัดส่วน 40:20:40 และพื้นที่เก็บสัมภาระที่ฝากระโปรงท้าย ก็สามารถขยายเพิ่มพื้นที่ได้จากการพับเบาะหลัง จากพื้นที่ 350 ลิตร เป็น 1,170 ลิตร
เครื่องยนต์ในทุกโมเดล ทั้งเบนซินและดีเซล มีการปรับให้รองรับมาตรฐาน EU 6 มีการเพิ่มกำลังแรงม้าในรุ่น MINI Cooper S ขึ้นอีก จาก 184 แรงม้า เป็น 190 แรงม้า
ออปชั่นเสริม มีการเพิ่มในเรื่องของออปชั่นความปลอดภัย ที่นอกเหนือจะได้มาตรฐาน Euro NCAP 5 ดาวแล้ว ยังมีการเพิ่มออปชั่น Daytime Driving Light เข้าไปอีกด้วย และยังมีอุปกรณ์ตกแต่งเพิ่มเติมอีกหลากหลายชิ้น ที่จะช่วยให้รถ MINI Countryman รุ่นใหม่โดดเด่นไม่เหมือนใคร
MINI Countryman ใหม่นี้ จะเริ่มเข้าสู่สายการผลิตเดือนกรกฎาคม 2014 เป็นต้นไป ซึ่งการทำตลาดของแต่ละประเทศจะมีกำหนดการวางจำหน่ายที่แตกต่างกัน สำหรับประเทศไทย ยังคงไม่มีอัปเดตว่า MINI Countryman ที่ประกอบที่โรงงานบีเอ็มดับเบิลยู แมนูแฟคเจอริ่ง จังหวัดระยอง จะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงมาเป็น Countryman โฉมใหม่นี้เมื่อไหร่ ซึ่งหากมีการอัปเดต เราจะมารายงานให้ทราบกันทันทีครับ
